Celebrate National Fresh Breath Day by booking an appointment with Oregon Tech Dental Hygiene. National Fresh Breath Day is observed every year on August 6th to create awareness of oral hygiene in the fight against bad breath. Maintaining good oral hygiene is more than brushing and flossing your teeth. Researchers are finding possible links between periodontal (gum) infections and other diseases throughout the body. For example, studies suggest that people who have gum disease may be at a higher risk for heart attacks, although no one is certain how this relationship works.
