🌍 The Oregon Tech Honors Program is honored to join the inaugural Partners in Peace cohort, an initiative by the National Collegiate Honors Council and the Nobel Peace Center. This recognition highlights our Honors Program’s dedication to impactful, co-curricular projects inspired by Alfred Nobel and Nobel Peace Prize laureates. Through Partners in Peace, students learn about peace leaders and their efforts to build better communities.

Oregon Tech is pleased to welcome its largest freshman class in 40 years – a 22.4% increase over last academic year. Oregon Tech’s Associate Vice Provost of Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM), Dr. Greg Stringer, attributes the university’s significant increase in first-year students to key initiatives in SEM that included increased focus on recruitment strategies, close collaboration with faculty, staff, and current students, and clear communication with applicants. “Our goal at SEM is to share the opportunities and community at Oregon Tech,” Stringer said.

Dr. Arief Suriadi Budiman, representing the Oregon Renewable Energy Center (OREC) and a faculty member at Oregon Tech, was recently featured in a PBS interview for the second episode of their series "Energy Horizons," titled “Solar Revolution.” This six-part series explores energy, climate change, and resource challenges, showcasing innovative solutions in Oregon.   In his interview, Dr. Budiman shared insights on renewable energy and specifically highlighted the importance of photovoltaic (PV) technology.
