The Administrative Council represents the ideas, interests, and welfare of unclassified staff members of Oregon Institute of Technology. 

The Administrative Council:

  • Serves in an advisory capacity to the President and other administrators
  • Promotes collaboration and shared governance through representation on President's Council, Faculty Senate, and Fiscal Operations Advisory Council
  • Considers appropriate campus-wide issues where the input and/or interests of unclassified staff are relevant, and makes appropriate recommendations regarding these issues
  • Reviews proposed Oregon Institute of Technology policies and procedures and advises appropriate parties accordingly
  • Strives to strengthen connections between unclassified staff and the university community

Definition of unclassified staff: those employees of Oregon Tech that serve in unclassified positions.

Kudos Award

Each month, the Administrative Council accepts nominations for the Unclassified Staff Kudos Award. Criteria are as follows:

An individual is eligible for a Kudos Award if they are an Unclassified Administrative Employee, on any campus, and one or more of the following apply:
 
* they have gone above and beyond to help a student; colleague; customer; or constituent
* they have contributed to a positive work environment
* they have demonstrated a strong work ethic
* they have exhibited through their actions a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusiveness
* they have shown commitment to furthering Oregon Tech's strategic plan
