A Little Bit About Me
I was born and raised in Klamath Falls and have always loved it here. I live out in Chiloquin on a ranch with my parents, my two older brothers, and my beagle Radar. I have always been driven academically, however living in the middle of nowhere came with challenges with socializing. I had very few friends until I made it to high school. I went to Eagle Ridge High School, and like any other high school life, I had my ups and downs, but I found my friends. They helped me through some of the mental health issues that arose during Covid-19. Once I found my people, my confidence and social skills improved. There are times when my anxiety and depression do take hold, but I just keep going. I never thought highly of myself but I’m learning to accept that I am a good person with a good heart and loyal to no end.
Why I Chose Oregon Tech and My Major
I chose Oregon Tech because I had the amazing opportunity to be able to go here, and the communications program and class sizes are what drove me to apply and try my hardest. All the amazing programs and resources they offer made me feel like I will be supported. I chose communications because I want to further my career in video production and marketing, and it’s a versatile degree that can be used in many jobs.
My Greatest Learning Experience At Oregon Tech
My greatest learning experience has been when I realized that I can’t do everything by myself and asking for help from my friends and family never hurts. I worked so hard throughout high school and while it did pay off, I realized I missed out on some socializing opportunities. Now going into college, I’m confident in my academic abilities and social skills that my friends have taught me along the way. My family has been supportive from day one and I can’t thank them enough for their support.
My Plans After Graduation
I hope to further my education in video production and move on to produce amazing videos that people around the world can enjoy. Video production exercises my creativity and technology skills and I want to make a career out of it.
