What program are you in?
I am currently in the Pre-Medical Imaging program, as I'm only a freshman.
When will you graduate?
I plan to graduate in June 2024.
Where is your hometown?
I grew up in Brookings, Oregon (tiny town on the coast!)
Are you on externship? If so, where? If not, have you done one and where?
I'm not in a medical imaging program yet, so I do not have an externship.
What do you love about Oregon Tech or your program?
I love the sense of community on the Oregon Tech campus! It's truly amazing to see people come together and become a big family throughout the school year. I feel at home here.
What are you looking forward to upon graduation?
After graduation, I am looking forward to spreading kindness and positivity through my job. Not only will I be assisting in helping people physically but also I hope to be a smiling face that can bring a little joy to their lives during a scan.
How has COVID-19 (coronavirus) impacted you this term?
COVID-19 stopped me from working as an America Reads tutor for Pelican Elementary School. I have been applying for other jobs, but they are so few and far between now that it is very hard to make ends meet.
I will be a first-generation college graduate in 2024. This being said, my family isn’t very wealthy, so my college tuition is being completely paid by me along with car insurance, gas, phone bill, housing and various other bills. Without help from this organization, I would have likely had to drop out this term and wait until Fall 2020 to return.
