A Little Bit About Me
I grew up in a very small town on the Southern Oregon Coast called Powers. At my high school, I played volleyball, basketball, and track and have been involved in the student body government since I was a freshman. I also enjoy volunteering at my local church every Sunday and being able to give back to the community that has given so much to me. In my free time, I like to spend time on my family's ranch, play basketball with my friends at our local county park, spend time with my family, and bake. I was previously interested in veterinary medicine and have worked in a veterinary hospital for the past two years. I planned to become a veterinary technician before switching my focus to medical imaging.
Why I Chose Oregon Tech and My Major
I chose Oregon Tech because of the medical imaging program. My brother also previously attended Oregon Tech and liked the community so I thought that it would be a good fit for me. I chose my major because of my own health history. I have a condition called a bicuspid aortic valve that I have to visit a cardiologist annually for. Getting these echocardiograms yearly sparked my interest in medical imaging.
My Greatest Learning Experience At Oregon Tech
While attending Oregon Tech, I hope to find my own community that resembles the one I grew up with and be able to replicate their selflessness in my own lifestyle.
My Plans After Graduation
After graduating with my degree, I plan to move to Texas and start my career as an ultrasound tech. I would eventually like to start a family of my own and live on a ranch. I also hope to have the opportunity to travel to Europe and see some of the rich history that it has to offer.
