A Little Bit About Me

I am Colton W. Hurst. I was the former CEO of Hurst Entertainment and a current 4.0 student at Oregon Tech. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA since my junior year of high school and still maintain it to this day. My academic interests are learning comprehensive materials and acquiring hands-on experience to help prepare myself in the professional world. I am a first-generation student with high-functioning autism who comes from a low-income family. I've lived in Klamath Falls my entire life and am dedicated and loyal to Oregon Tech, my family, and to anything I am working towards.

Why I Chose Oregon Tech and My Major

I chose Oregon Tech so I can be at home and continue to support my family, and I chose my major to improve my video production and marketing capabilities. By staying at home, I will be able to continue to provide financial support to my family while I pursue my educational goals. By studying marketing and video production, I will gain the skills necessary to help me succeed in the ever-changing digital world.

My Influential Professors

My influential professors are Professor Mark Neupert, who was my film professor in spring term, and Professor Markie Scheidegger who taught me the entire 2022-23 school year. Professor Mark Neupert taught me how to analyze and how to improve my film and video production techniques. Professor Markie Scheidegger taught me that writing is an important aspect in making videos and helped me become more academically tuned when doing research for papers.

My Greatest Learning Experience At Oregon Tech

My greatest learning experience at Oregon Tech is practicing hands-on skills that I can use in the professional world. With these skills, I can better provide for those around me. I can help people be the very best they can be and provide relief to the needy.

My Plans After Graduation

After I graduate with my degree, I want to someday form a huge charity organization called the Charity Fighters Association which consists of five charity businesses that fundraise for different charity organizations. I want to use this organization to provide relief to many individuals across the country and potentially the world.
