A Little Bit About Me

I went to Century High School and I went to Portland Community College for my junior and senior years of high school. In my free time I enjoy acting and singing in musical theater, playing video games, and playing Dungeons and Dragons and other tabletop games with my family and friends. I’m the second of four children. My older sister is an accounting major (after changing from vocal performance) at Whitworth University. My younger brother and sister are in high school and middle school respectively. I also enjoy outdoor activities like camping, skiing, and hiking.

Why I Chose Oregon Tech and My Major

I chose mechanical engineering because I want to make cool stuff. I did FIRST LEGO League in elementary and middle school and I loved building the robot and solving problems. In more recent years I enjoyed watching engineering YouTube such as Stuff Made Here and Mark Rober and would think, “I want to do that.” I chose Oregon Tech because when I visited, I was blown away by the engineering facilities and labs.

My Plans After Graduation

I plan to get a job in the field of Robotics. Robotics is what got me into mechanical engineering, and it’s what I want to do in my career, possibly with a larger company such as Boston Dynamics but more likely a smaller company as I build up my skills and knowledge.
