A Little Bit About Me
I am incredibly driven. When I lived in the bay area I worked under a Michelin Star pastry chef. While my boss started a family, I managed the entire pastry shop, keeping up the expectations of our reputation. When Covid hit, the pastry shop unfortunately closed, so I began to drill water wells as an essential worker. After many months I knew I wanted to go to college. My partner was planning on going to Southern Oregon University, so I attended Rogue Community College. These past two years in college I have felt the most fulfilled I have ever been in my whole life which is how I know I am on the right path of changing the world through engineering.
Why I Chose Oregon Tech and My Major
I chose Oregon Tech because of its outstanding facilities and unique opportunities. I specifically like the machine shop. Excited about my future I want to learn as much as I possibly can during my undergrad in order to change the world once I graduate.
My Influential Professors
Dusty Rittenbach is the most influential professor I have had during my time at Rogue Community College. Coming back to school five years post-graduation he made me welcome and continuously inspired me to follow my passions within engineering.
My Greatest Learning Experience At Oregon Tech
My greatest recent learning experience has been being a team leader at Invent Oregon. I have learned what it means to be a true scientific entrepreneur and I am very proud of my team and I for making it to the finals. At Invent Oregon I was able to meet many other college inventors; we all learned so much from each other and our shared experiences were priceless.
My Plans After Graduation
I can't wait to hopefully start working in the biomechanical field after graduating with my degree in Mechanical Engineering. I would like to create the best prosthetics for amputees and aids for people with disabilities. I want to help humanity in any and all ways that I can.
