To help public facilities in Oregon feature art within their buildings, Oregon Percent for Art designates at least 1% of project funding budgets over $100,000 to artwork established by the Oregon Arts Commission.

The Oregon Arts Commission believes that placing art in public places promotes visually diverse and culturally rich environments that enhance the state's public spaces and contribute to the lives of Oregon’s residents and visitors.
