Just announced, Oregon Tech is the first public university in Oregon to form this scholarship pathway with Phi Theta Kappa, an international honor society of two-year colleges and academic programs. High achieving students at community colleges internationally are able to maximize their value at Oregon Tech through the Phi Theta Kappa scholarship, which is stackable with many other Oregon Tech scholarship opportunities.
Eligibility in Phi Theta Kappa requires enrollment in an accredited institution offering an associate degree program; completion of at least 12 hours of coursework; a grade-point average of 3.5; an invitation to membership from the chapter at the college where presently enrolled; and adherence to the ethical standards of the society.
With an average of 600 students in Oregon community colleges participating in Phi Theta Kappa, membership in the honor society guarantees students access to benefits that will recognize their outstanding academic accomplishments and provide them with the competitive edge that helps ensure future success. These benefits are unmatched by any other collegiate honor society and Oregon Tech is one of only 750 senior institutions in the nation that offer transfer scholarships, and the first public university in Oregon to offer this opportunity to transfer students from any state.
