Did you know that Oregon Tech has a beekeeping club and they have an apiary on campus? The club currently has 55 members, and students from any program can join. 🐝 The Oregon Tech Apiary serves three main purposes: promoting awareness about pollinator decline, acting as a living laboratory for student research projects, and providing the opportunity for students to learn the ancient art of beekeeping. Professor of Mathematics Terri Torres and Assistant Professor of Natural Science Christy VanRooyen lead the club and bring the study of bees into their courses.
