Artist John Fleming and Professor C.J. Riley explain new artwork on the Klamath Falls campus, which was completed with help from students in Dr. Riley's Structural Matrix Analysis course and an enterprising student, Devin Anderson Moser, who served as the go-between for the artist and structural engineering company. The nearly 38-foot-tall, 22,000-pound steel structure, called Fibonacci’s Arc, now rests outside the southwest corner of Cornett Hall and points toward Crater Lake National Park and coincidentally, to the civil engineering laboratory spaces in Cornett Hall. Many thanks to OIT Civil Engineering, Facilities Services, Precision Structural Engineering Inc, Diversified Contractors Inc., Bullet Rental & Sales, Inc., and Angelo Doveri & Son Crane Service for their work on this project! #oregontech #fantasticfacultyfriday Photo credit: Herald & News article
