Each year, Oregon Tech Geomatics and Oregon Department of Transportation hold a summer camp to allow youth to explore the geomatics career field. The camp includes activities to encourage creativity while allowing students to work with our professors and learn about this profession.
During the three-day camp, students enjoyed guest speakers (including an alumna from ODOT), a scavenger hunt, field trips, obstacle courses, and a favorite - a hike at Hagelstein Park.
Students are generally from Southern Oregon and attend the camp free of charge thanks to sponsorship by Oregon Department of Transportation.
