Oregon Tech has received $1.2 million for two grants to expand career pathways in technology.
Oregon Tech received $709,546 for an Applied Computing for Upskilling and Reskilling Professionals project to teach essential concepts and tools in applied computing, covering topics from system architecture to data science methodologies.
The program application will open in early 2025 and will launch in Spring 2025, using funding for tuition assistance and student equipment.
Oregon Tech also received $500,000 for UX Writing, Design, and Research to develop a training program that provides upskilling/reskilling in UX writing, research, and design and builds awareness of transferable technology skills in UX to a range of occupations.
The UX program will begin accepting applications in the spring for Fall 2025 and applicants are eligible for up to $5,000 in tuition assistance toward the one-year program.
