Carmen has taught at Oregon Tech since 1989 in the areas of accounting and finance. Prior to that and during summers, she has worked in public accounting and in industry. Most recently, she has pursued training in the personal financial planning area and has recently taken and passed the Personal Financial Specialist (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants) exam. She has an A.A.S. in Accounting and a B.S. in Industrial Management from Oregon Tech. She also has an MBA from Portland State University.
Carmen is an Oregon licensed Certified Public Accountant and also holds the Certified Management Accountant and Certified in Financial Management certifications. When not teaching, Carmen enjoys being outside, traveling with family and friends, and sports.
