For All New Students Majoring in Engineering

Student's eligible for any of the four presidential scholarship awards and majoring in engineering are also eligible for an Engineering Scholarship of $1,000 a year, renewable for four years. Students must maintain a 3.0 to keep their scholarship.

Qualifications

First-time Freshmen:

  • Unweighted high school GPA of 3.26 or better
    OR
  • 1110 combined SAT Critical Reading and Math Score
    OR
  • 22 ACT Composite

New Transfer Students:

  • 3.0 cumulative college GPA or better

The scholarships are awarded only to new, fully admitted Oregon Tech students in the majors specified above. The only requirement is to apply for admission to Oregon Tech and be accepted for admission by March 1 for enrollment in the following academic year. Applicants must meet all admission requirements in order to qualify. 

The Engineering Honors Scholarship is for fall, winter and spring terms for four years as long as a 3.0 cumulative GPA is maintained at Oregon Tech and the recipient remains an engineering or engineering technology major. Recipients must carry at least 12 Oregon Tech credits per term. Transfer students must have at least 36 quarter hours of transferable college credit. Applicants with fewer than 36 credits are considered on the basis of their college grades, high school record and test scores.
