Fall Term 2009 System Test
OIT conducted a test of the OIT-Alert system at approximately 10:25 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009.
Reporting from this test shows that:
- Roughly 21 percent of OIT students, faculty and staff (Portland East, Portland West and Klamath Falls combined) have opted to take advantage of the emergency communication system at this time.
- Nearly 75 percent of messages sent were delivered successfully.
Clearly, there's room for improvement both in the number of "good" numbers in the system and the number of OIT students, faculty and staff who sign in and update .

Sign in to OIT-Alert and update your emergency contact information today. Students, faculty and staff who sign in and update by Dec. 1, 2009, will be automatically entered to win one of two $100 gift certificates to the Paper Owl bookstore.

Now, with OIT-Alert, you can be in the know of any campus alert or emergency situation.
In the event of an emergency, your primary phone number and your OIT e-mail will be used to contact you. Take a moment to update your contact informaion today: add your cell phone, secondary e-mail address or alternate phone. You may also add numbers for parents, spouses or friends you'd like us to contact in case of a campus emergency.
OIT-Alert will never be used to send routine or non-emergency messages.
