Give A Hoot Day is Oregon Tech's giving day in support of the people, programs, and projects at the university. Join us for a fun-filled day, online and in-person, to support your passion! Vital funds will be raised for various initiatives including scholarships, student clubs, academic programs, athletics, equipment, research, and more!

Participation is easy! Below are the top 4 ways to participate in Give A Hoot Day:
 

GIVE - Support your passion and make a donation online, over the phone, or in-person! You can also mail in a check donation, clearly marked “Give a Hoot Day” to the Oregon Tech Foundation at 3201 Campus Drive, Klamath Falls, OR 97601.

WEAR - Sport your blue & gold and Oregon Tech gear on Give A Hoot Day!

CARE - Spread kindness and generosity through volunteer action.

SHARE - Become an advocate and share what you're raising money for on social media, email, phone, and in-person. Be sure to use #GiveAHootDay when posting on social media.

April 2nd: Early Bird Giving. Count your donation towards Give A Hoot Day if unable to give on the day. April 9th & 10th: Give A Hoot Day. Starting at midnight on Wednesday April 9th, matches and challenges will be released until Thursday, April 10th at noon. Stop by Dutch Bros or campus on April 9th to connect in-person! April 16th: Celebrate Your Impact. The campaign officially closes, and we will be sharing appreciation.

Stay tuned for exciting updates coming mid-march! Sneak peak: some matches will be released throughout the day at the top of the hour, and fun challenges will be unlocked depending on the time of your gift and your involvement on social media.

 

Match Policy

 

Thank you for your generous support during Give A Hoot Day! We are excited to offer a matching gift opportunity to help maximize the impact of your donation. Please note the following important details regarding our matching program:

  • Matching Funds Availability: Matching funds are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis as long as funds are available. We cannot guarantee that every donation will be matched.
  • Matching Period: Matching funds will be released during specific hours throughout the day, and the availability of matches may vary based on the time of donation.
  • Donation Limits: Matching funds will be subject to a cap per donor, per donation, or based on other program limitations.

  • Come to the College Union on campus to connect with students, faculty, staff, and the Foundation team. Try to win a prize, have fun with the community, and cheer on students throughout the day!
  • Stop by Dutch Bros in Klamath Falls all day on April 9th, and $1/drink will be donated back to Oregon Tech! You may even catch a glimpse of Hootie...

Portland-Metro

  • Come to campus to connect with students, faculty, staff, and the Foundation team. Try to win a prize, have fun with the community, and cheer on students throughout the day!
