OIT Financial Aid Mission Statement
The mission of the Student Financial Aid Office is to administer student aid in compliance with applicable law, regulations and policies that govern federal, state, institution, and private funds. In doing so, we aim to help students achieve their education goals.
We will accomplish this by working together as a team of financial aid professionals to provide the highest quality service to our students, co-workers, and the college as a whole. We strive to provide premium customer service in a timely manner while putting students first.
Important News for Financial Aid Students and Families
January is the time to file your FAFSA for the 09-10 award year. Students and parents, please file your FAFSA by February 1, 2009 in order to be in the OIT Priority Pool. Students this is also the time to look for scholarships. Please look at the scholarship section to find scholarships that could be available to students attending OIT.
Timeline for Financial Aid Award Letters
The OIT Financial Aid Office anticipates processing Financial Aid Awards for the 2009-10 year during the last week of March 2009. Please be advised this is an estimate. Continuing students will receive an email to their OIT email account letting them know that their award letter is available online at Web For Student. All new students to OIT will receive their first award letter via US Mail Service. Any continuing or new student that needs to provide additional information to the OIT Financial Aid Office will need to provide that information prior to receiving their first award letter. Once the OIT Financial Aid Office has received all required documents from the students/parents, then the student will receive their initial OIT Financial Aid Award Letter.
