Student Awards

Oregon Tech students deserve recognition for their achievements, dedication and service.  Any Faculty, Administrator, Staff, or Student may submit a student award nomination letter. You may nominate multiple students for the same award or one student for several, and a student may nominate him or herself.

How to Nominate a Student

Meet with the student to inform him/her of your desire to complete a Student Award Nomination.

Write a nomination letter.  Indicate the student's name and for which Student Award.  Clearly state how the student meets the student award criteria.  Criteria for each award are available to the right.  Nomination is only considered for that specific award and not for others; however, you may nominate a student for more than one award with a separate nomination letter.

Nomination Letter Deadline: 5:00 pm on April 7, 2016 to Student Affairs: CU 217 or nellie.stewart@oit.edu.

Encourage the student to receive 1-3 letters of recommendation in support of the nomination from other faculty, advisor, administrator, student, etc.  Also the student must complete the Student Biography.  This form is a Word document that can be submitted electronically or hard copy.

Recommendation Letter(s) & Student Biography Deadline: 5:00 pm on April 14, 2016 to Student Affairs: CU 217 or nellie.stewart@oit.edu.
