Tim Bailey

Alumnus, Class of 2008

I worked on many noteworthy projects at OIT, such as: designed software for a fuel cell tester, built an anaerobic digester to produce methane gas from kitchen wastes, built a program to model fuel cell characteristics, designed a micro-hydroelectric system, conducted an energy audit of the school building, modeled the energy performance of a house being designed for a family in north Portland, improved the accuracy of the school's LabVolt wattmeters by designing and installing additional circuitry.

After I graduate, I would like to work in the renewable energy industry and continue to learn as much as I can about various technologies.

I would advise incoming students to put forth the effort to gain a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals.
