Why did you choose Oregon Tech?
I was looking for a school near my hometown and was also interested in the hands-on nature of the coursework offered here at Oregon Tech. After finishing my undergraduate degree here at Oregon Tech, I decided that graduate school was my next challenge and the masters in Manufacturing Engineering Technology sounded like a great option, as well as a very marketable addition to my education.
What do you like best about your major?
My current program is great because of its highly project-oriented curriculum. Yes, there is also theory and analysis to back it up but I find that I learn a lot on projects where we implement and verify the theory that is taught to us during lecture. In addition to this, the faculty here at Oregon Tech are very helpful in driving the students to do better and do a great job of presenting the material in a manner that is both informative and interesting.
What would be your dream job in your major?
My ultimate dream is to start my own company to design/manufacture high end bicycles or Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (better yet, both!) utilizing advanced composite materials.
What’s your favorite thing to do off campus?
Ride my mountain bike on the local Klamath Falls trails or the rest of the great riding located in Southern Oregon.
What’s your most memorable moment on campus?
Graduating with my fellow classmates after years of hard work and dedication!
