April 24, 2013, KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – With the motto of “Become the greatest version of yourself,” the Oregon Tech chapter of Phi Delta Theta (ΦΔΘ) certainly works hard to live up to that expectation. As a brotherhood of men from diverse experiential and cultural backgrounds, they are involved in campus activities, community service, and philanthropy. Not only do they paint and clean up the Oregon Tech “OT” on the hill each year, they also adopted Highway 97/Crater Lake Parkway in Klamath County and do regular road clean-up to maintain it.

Their dedication to Oregon Tech and the community of Klamath Falls earned them the United Way Volunteer of the Year award at the Klamath County Volunteer of the Year Award and Recognition Event of 2013. This award is given based on leadership and commitment; impact and achievement; and the spirit of volunteerism the organization possesses.

Oregon Tech is proud to acknowledge Phi Delta Theta in their efforts to benefit the university and community. The mission statement of Phi Delta Theta is a great example of this service: “We strive to bring out the best in each other and in ourselves. We pursue fellowship through common interests, service, and camaraderie. We offer acceptance regardless of race, religion, or social status and challenge each other every day to become better men than we were the day before.” To learn more about Phi Delta Theta, please visit www.oit.edu/current-students/campus-life/phi-delta-theta.
