Finding Books
Students may get books from all around Oregon and Washington using the Summit catalog. Items can be delivered to the OIT Library's circulation desk or to any of the other member libraries. You will have to pre-arrange to pick up your Summit materials from a different Summit library. Summit items will usually arrive within 2-5 days from the time you submit your request. Need help finding a Summit member library near you? Here is a map. To pre-arrange pick up from a library near you:
1. Go to the Circulation desk at the participating Summit Library and ask for a guest account for Summit. They will need to enter you into their system and verify that you are a student at OIT. To do this, you will need your OIT ID with a current sticker. You may also be asked to login to your account at the OIT Library. To do this go to the OIT Library homepage and choose “My library account” (screenshot to the right).
2. If you get a security warning, click continue to website.
3. Enter your login information (same as your OIT email account)
This will verify that you are an OIT student and you will be added to the participating library’s computer system. Once you are registered as an authorized patron, you can request items from the Summit catalog and have them delivered to this library.
