Scholarships specific to students transferring from a community college to a four-year college or university.

Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship
Due Date: Varies by campus
Scholarship Amount: Varies
Eligibility: Outstanding community college students who demonstrate financial need, will to succeed and breadth of interest and activities. Applicants should demonstrate achievement and academic ability, desire to engage in and contribute to the world, self-confidence, and resilience.

Local Scholarship Opportunities

Scholarships specific to students who are residences of Klamath County or other Southern Oregon counties. Or awards specific to Oregon Tech students. 

Mark E. Reed Scholarship
Due Date:
February 29, 2016
Scholarship Amount: 5 awards of $3,000 each
Eligibility: Must be a resident of Klamath or Lake Counties.

Southern Oregon Latino Scholarship Fund
Due Date: April 15, 2016
Scholarship Amount: Varies
Eligibility: Must be a resident of Jackson, Josephine, or Klamath counties and be of Latino heritage. Must have a minimum of 3.00 cumulative high school grade point average or a minimum combined verbal and math score of 1010 on the SAT or a minimum of 21 on the ACT.  Continuing college students must have a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.

DAR American Indian Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: Varies
Eligibility: Applicants must be Native Americans (proof of American Indian blood is required by letter or proof papers) in financial need and have a grade point average of 3.25 or higher.

Brian Zeiger Scholarship

 February 15, 2016
Scholarship Amount:  $1,000
Eligibility: Prospective applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited United States college or university or planning to attend one in the fall 2016 semester. A 500-word essay is required.

Udall Scholarship – Environmental Issues
Due Date:  February 17, 2016 (Oregon Tech campus deadline)
Scholarship Amount:  Up to $7,000 per scholar
Eligibility: Applicants must be current college sophomores or juniors committed to careers related to the environment and plan on attending full time during the 2016-17 academic year.

Udall Scholarship – Tribal Public Policy or Native Health Care
Due Date:  February 17, 2016 (Oregon Tech campus deadline)
Scholarship Amount: 
Up to $7,000 per scholar
Eligibility:   
Applicants must be current college sophomores or juniors committed to careers related to tribal public policy, or Native health care, must be native American or Alaska Native, and plan on attending full time during the 2016-17 academic year.

Pacific Northwest Section
American Water Works Association Scholarship

Due Date:
February 26, 2016
Scholarship Amount: Twelve awards ranging from $2,500-4,000 each
Eligibility: Students enrolled in civil or environmental engineering, water/wastewater technology or allied fields who looking to a career in public water supply. Students enrolled in other programs, which point towards a career in the public water supply industry, are also encouraged to apply.

Society of Women Engineers Scholarship

Scholarship Amount:  $1,000
Eligibility:  Student who has completed at least one year of studies in an ABET accredited school with an intention to enter any engineering field.

PayScale’s Women in STEM Scholarship

Scholarship Amount:  $2,000
Eligibility: Student enrolled in an associate, bachelor's or graduate level program in a science, technology, engineering or math related major. The applicant must have accepted an offer of admission or be attending classes at an accredited college or university before the award is granted.

Schweiger Memorial Scholarship Fund

The SleekLens Academic Scholarship

Scholarship Amount:  Three $2,000 awards

Sleepopolis Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: $1,000
Eligibility: Current high school (or home-schooled) seniors attending school in the United States OR current college students already studying at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution. Must be a US citizen with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Klamath County Republican Women Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: $1,000
Eligibility: Full time Oregon Tech or KCC students (male or female), with a minimum GPA of 3.0, and who are registered Republicans.

Senior Care Innovation Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: Five awards of $1,000 each
Eligibility: Applicants must be enrolled in an associate's degree, bachelor's degree or graduate level program in a medical, nursing or social sciences related major. The student must be planning on pursuing a career that involves working with senior citizens.

Oregon NASA Space Grant Scholarship

May 20, 2016
Scholarship Amount: Up to ten $5,000 awards
Eligibility: Freshman, sophomore or junior students pursuing majors in science, technology, engineering or math (STEM). Student must maintain good academic standing and be a US Citizen.

Abbott & Fenner Scholarship Program

Scholarship Amount: $1,000
Eligibility: Available to high school juniors and seniors as well as students currently enrolled at any accredited post-secondary institution. A 500-1000 word essay is required.

ABC Humane Wildlife Control & Prevention Academic Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: $1,000
Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled in or have been accepted to an accredited college or university, AND have been diagnosed with autism of any form OR are studying autism-related research at a university. Must have a GPA of 2.6 or higher.

College Student Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: $500
Eligibility: The scholarship is available any student enrolled in a NON-nursing college degree program, certificate course, or graduate program with a minimum 3.0 GPA. A 500-800 word essay is required.
