Transfer Student Scholarship

Scholarships specific to students transferring from a community college to a four-year college or university.

Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship
Due Date: Varies by campus
Scholarship Amount: Varies
Eligibility: Outstanding community college students who demonstrate financial need, will to succeed and breadth of interest and activities. Applicants should demonstrate achievement and academic ability, desire to engage in and contribute to the world, self-confidence, and resilience.

Graduate Student Scholarship

Opportunities that are also open to master degree students.

2014-15

Goedeker’s College Scholarship
Due Date: July 31, 2014
Scholarship Amount: $500, plus two honorable mentions at $100
Eligibility: Undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled at an accredited college during the Spring 2014 semester and have a 3.0 GPA or higher. A 300-word essay is required.

P.E.O. Scholarship
Due Date: June 25, 2014
Scholarship Amount: $500 minimum
Eligibility: Open to women currently enrolled at Oregon Tech or Klamath Community college. Academic standing, financial need, and potential to reach goals will be considered.

JustWalkers.com Mobility Scholarship Program
Due Date: June 30, 2014
Scholarship Amount: $1,000
Eligibility: College students with limited mobility who use a wheelchair, power scooter, crutches, rollator or other mobility device on a regular basis. Applicants must also write an essay (see webpage), have a minimum GPA of 3.0, be and be a legal US resident.

Spokeo Connections Scholarship
Due Date: July 1, 2014
Scholarship Amount: $1,000
Eligibility: Applicants must be enrolled in a two or four year college or university in the spring of 2014 with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicants must also be U.S. Citizens or permanent residents of the United States. A 1,000-1,600 word essay is required.

Pagesz Writing Contest
Due Date: July 1, 2014
Scholarship Amount: $1,000
Eligibility: Applicants must write an essay on the topic of why people are fascinated with the supernatural on TV. Students must be 18 years or older, current high school seniors, undergraduates, or graduate students attending an accredited college or private career school in fall of 2014. Applicants must also be U.S. citizens or holders of a valid and current U.S. Visa.

Scholarship Amount: $5,000-10,000
Eligibility: Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students at an accredited college or university for the 2014-15 Fall semester with a declared major of Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related life science field. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.

Eve’s Addition Scholarship
Due Date: August 15, 2014
Scholarship Amount: $1,000
Eligibility: The scholarship is open to high school seniors and any students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Fall 2014/Spring 2015 at any accredited U.S. college or university. Applicants must complete a 500 word essay.

AES Engineers Scholarship
Due Date: October 6, 2014
Scholarship Amount: $500
Eligibility: The scholarship is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post-secondary educational institution. Engineering as a field of study is not a requirement. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by evaluating the applicant's response to the essay prompt located on the AES website.

College Student Scholarship
Due Date: October 31 (every year)
Scholarship Amount: $500
Eligibility: The scholarship is available any student enrolled in a NON-nursing college degree program, certificate course, or graduate program with a minimum 3.0 GPA. A 500-800 word essay is required.

Eligibility: The scholarship is available any student enrolled in a qualified undergraduate or certificate level nursing program. A 500-800 word essay is required.

Scholarship Amount: $1,000
Eligibility: Applicants must be full or part-time students at an accredited U.S. post-secondary educational institution with a minim GPA of 3.0. They must also work an average of 12hrs per week, be the residential parent of at least one minor child, and a legal resident of the U.S.
