The Housing Network (ResNet) is wired so that each room in the Residence Hall has two computer connections. In the Village apartments, each bedroom has a connection as well as two more connections in the living room. This enables students to connect their personal computers directly to on campus housing's network using a high-speed Ethernet connection. With an Ethernet connection, students can access the resources of the Internet. Reading e-mail, browsing the Web and downloading software from public archive sites are all available to you from your own computer. Housing and Residence Life offers the basic internet connection needed for academic purposes. Should you wish for more speed or bandwidth, you are welcome to contract with Charter for more internet access beyond the scope of academic need.
