Relaxation Stations

Spring 2014 Finals Week Relaxation Stations

A variety of departments & offices around campus are hosting Relaxation Stations during finals week, to help students de-stress in between final exams. Everything is FREE, so stop by and grab a snack or participate in an activity to help get you through finals. Good luck on finals, and have a great (and safe) spring break!

All Week (Monday-Thursday):

  • Italian Soda Station

    Campus Life (1st Floor, CU) – 8am-5pm
    Enjoy an Italian Soda of your choice at our Relaxation Station. A variety of flavors will be available for you to make the soda of your choice and make your heart a little happier.
  • Mandala Coloring

    Diversity Center (2nd Floor, CU) – 8am-5pm
    The mandala is a Hindu and Buddhist tradition of decorating geometric figures. Traditional mandalas are made with sand, but can be done in a variety of ways. The DC will have mandalas on paper ready to be colored with pencils or markers.
  • Coloring and Snacks

    Student Affairs (2nd Floor, CU) – 8am-5pm
    Stop by the Student Affairs office to travel back to the days of kindergarten, when we didn't have to worry about things like final exams! They’ll have coloring pages, crayons, colored pencils, and fun snacks to share.
  • Relaxing Music

    Women’s Resource Center (2nd Floor, CU) – 8am-5pm
    If you’d like a place to de-stress in a quiet environment, come by the WRC during finals week. They will have comfortable seating, low lighting, and relaxing music playing for students to take a break and find peace.

Monday:

  • Step-n-Pump

    Student Health (in PE201: aka the “Mirror Room” in the gym) – 8am-9am
    Burn through your stress with Step-n-Pump! A full body workout in just 50 minutes. Led by Jennifer Bavarskas of the Integrated Student Health Center.
  • Vinyasa Flow Yoga

    Student Health (in PE201: aka the “Mirror Room” in the gym) – 9am-10am
    Join Jennifer Bavarskas of the Integrated Student Health Center for Vinyasa flow yoga to de-stress. Enough movement to burn calories and stay warm, yet very relaxing and calming.
  • Bubbles and Bubble Wands

    Student Health – 1pm-3pm
    Student Health will host a relaxation table outside of the Integrated Student Health Center (weather permitting) with bubbles and bubble wands. All students who stop by can be entered into a drawing for a free massage with our massage therapist. Don’t miss it!
