Oregon Tech Inks West Albany High Middle

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech head coach Jason Corwin announced recently that Whitney Webster (Albany, Ore.) will join the 2014 volleyball squad beginning this fall.

Webster, a 6-0 middle hitter from West Albany High School, helped lead the Bulldogs to back-to-back 5A state titles in 2012 and 2013, while finishing runner-up in 2011.  Webster was a two-time first-team all-conference player at WAHS, while also earning Second-Team All-State honors as a senior.

“Whitney brings a tremendous amount of flexibility to the court and can play all three front row positions at a very high level,” mentioned Corwin.  “She has an excellent serve and plays a very good back row game and we look for her to make an impact this fall,” Corwin continued.  Whitney excels in the classroom which is a necessity at Oregon Tech.”

Whitney is the daughter of Cris and Michele Webster and plans on majoring in Biology at Oregon Tech beginning this fall.
