Oregon Tech Signs California Standout Setter

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech volleyball coach, Jason Corwin, announced recently the signing of standout recruit, Waverly Green, of Modesto, Calif. to a national letter of intent.

Green, a 5-10 setter at Joseph A. Gregori High School, led her team to four straight league titles and a 47-1 record at home over her four year career. Waverly played 6 years of club ball with Rage and Delta Valley. She logged 1,512 assists this past year with Delta Valley averaging 10.3 assist, 3.7 digs and just under 1 block per set during the 2013 season.

“We are very excited Waverly will be joining our program next fall. She adds a ton of quality volleyball experience and training.” said Corwin. “She has great touch on the ball putting her hitters in position to score points. Waverly is the kind of student athlete that we know will thrive with our academic rigor. She has the work ethic and growth mindset that we look for in an athlete along with the leadership qualities necessary in a setter

Waverly is the daughter of Susy and Tony Green and plans to major in Biological Sciences at Oregon Tech beginning this fall.
