Tech’s Tehan Earns CCC Player of the Week; Howard, Nisbet Earn HM

(La GRANDE, Ore.) – Oregon Tech’s Bailey Tehan (Tea-han), a true freshman from Eureka, California, has been named Red Lion women’s soccer defensive player of the week for the period ending September 30.

Tehan anchored the Oregon Tech defensive line making several key defensive stops leading the Lady Owls to a 2-0 record for the week in back to back shut out wins over Northwest University and Evergreen State this past weekend.

Oregon Tech junior, Sara Howard, received conference cross country honorable mention honors after her performance this past weekend as she eclipsed the school-record by 13 seconds finishing in 13th in a field of 200 with a time of 18:30 in the 5k race that was dominated by NCAA Division I runners. The Owls’ women's cross country team finished sixth Saturday at the 38th annual Charles Bowles Invitational at Bush Park in Salem, Ore.

Oregon Tech junior, Rebekah Nisbet, received conference women’s soccer offensive player of the week honorable mention accolades after her performance this past weekend leading the Lady Owls to home wins over Northwest University and Evergreen State. Nisbet had both game winning goals in the two shut out wins and added two assists for a total of six points over the weekend.
