Oregon Tech Adds Pair to Men’s Golf Team

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — Two outstanding high school golfers, Nathan Pajutee and David Murphy, will be joining the Oregon Tech men's golf team for the 2013-14 season head coach Jeff Corkill announced recently.

The pair will join the Owls for their inaugural season of varsity competition.  Pajutee competed at Sisters High School and Murphy at Rogue River High School.

Pajutee (Sisters, Ore.) competed as the No. 1 golfer for the Outlaws for three seasons.  Pajutee was a two-time 4A District champion as well as placing 11th at the OSAA tournament.

“We are excited to have Nathan join our team,” said Corkill.  “He will bring talent to our growing golf program.”

Murphy (Rogue River, Ore.) was the No. 2 golfer at RRHS earning a berth to the OSAA tournament on four occasions where the senior would earn a seventh place finish at the State Championships.

“David is an important part of building a golf program,” said Corkill.  “We are excited David will be a part of our golf team.”

Oregon Tech, in their first competition, will host a 12-team tournament, six men and six women’s teams, this Sunday and Monday at the Running Y beginning at 8 a.m.  Cascade Collegiate Conference team’s joining the Owls include Concordia University, Corban University, College of Idaho, Northwest Christian College and Warner Pacific College.
