Men's Soccer set to make it's debut in 2008

2008 will see the start of the men’s soccer program at Oregon Tech. “The Cascade Conference is a tough conference with some very strong teams and traditions,” Head Coach Bryan Mueller said.  He added, “My goal for 2008 is to establish that our program has every intention of playing to the best of our abilities, learn from our matches and maybe surprise some teams who might overlook us. Our biggest challenge is to put out a competitive side that will continue to show improvement, and to uphold Oregon Tech’s high standards. Our team goal will be built around unity and teamwork. I truly believe that building a program cannot be done in one season, but this season is the most important season in showing the conference what is to come and letting new recruits see our level of commitment to succeed, and that we have a combative, never say die attitude, to play our best. Results will follow”.

This year the Cascade Conference will be divided into two divisions for men’s soccer; a north and a south division with the top 3 teams in each division going to a post season tournament. The first place team from each division will have a 1st round bye with the 3rd place team playing the 2nd place team from the other division. The south division includes The College of Idaho, Corban, Northwest Christian, Cascade College, and Oregon Tech. The north division will consist of Concordia, Northwest University, Evergreen State College, and Warner Pacific College.
