PORTLAND, Ore. — Oregon Tech was held to just 30.3% shooting and Concordia University recorded their first Cascade Collegiate Conference win of the season with an 86-65 victory over the Hustlin’ Owls tonight at Cavalier Court in Portland.
Oregon Tech falls to 10-8 overall and takes a 1-5 CCC mark into the break.

Oregon Tech trailed just 14-12 early, but the Cavaliers went on a hot streak, hitting 11-of-14 shots during an 11 minute stretch to jump out to a 35-16 advantage with just over 5 minutes to play in the opening period. Tech would trail 44-25 at the break.
The Owls threatened to get back in the game with an 8-2 run at the start of the second half, cutting their deficit to 13, but the Cavaliers responded with a 17-3 burst that pushed their lead to 27. Concordia led 63-36 with 12:26 left at that point and never let Tech get closer than 20 points the rest of the way.
Concordia shot 62.5 percent in the first half and 53.8 percent overall. Oregon Tech, meanwhile, wound up shooting 30.3 percent in the game.
Derek Evans led the Hustlin’ Owls with 16 points and 4 rebounds with David Clarke also scoring in double-figures with 14 points. Josh Johnson came away with 9 points and 9 rebounds in the loss for Tech.
