Three Owls Earn NAIA Scholar Honors

GULF SHORES, Ala. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that 233 men and 337 women track and field student-athletes have been named 2014 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes including Oregon Tech’s Scott Minor, a senior from Hyampto, California, along with Sara Howard, a senior from Colfax, California and Rachel Botsford, a junior from Mulino, Oregon.

In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.
