KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - Oregon Tech head men’s soccer coach, Matt Munhall, announced recently the signing of standout recruit, Ian Tarnovsky, of Happy Valley, Oregon to a national letter of intent.

Tarnovsky, a 6-3 midfielder at Clackamas High School, was Team Captain and voted MVP the past two seasons for the Cavaliers.  Tarnovsky was a two-time first team All Three Rivers League selection in both 2012 & 2013, while leading his CHS team to the 6A State semifinals in his junior season.

Tarnovsky received many club accolades, including Team Captain the past three years, while also leading his teams to the semifinals at each of the 2013 & 2014 Oregon State Cups, and 2011 US Club National Cup, to go with a US Club NW Regional championship in 2011.

“Ian is an outstanding young player that will bring leadership and a strong work ethic to our team,” said Munhall. “We are excited for him to bring his wealth of experience into our program and expect him to make an immediate impact for us.”

Ian is the son of Steve and Sarah Tarnovsky of Happy Valley, Oregon and plans to major in biology at Oregon Tech beginning this fall.
