Oregon Tech Signs Siskiyous Transfer Guard

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech head coach Dan Miles announced recently that transfer guard Lavar Moore (Waterbury, Conn.) has signed a basketball letter-of-intent and will join the Hustlin’ Owls this coming fall.

Moore competed the past two seasons at College of the Siskiyous earning all-academic honors in 2013. During the 2014 season, Moore averaged 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists, earning All-State and all-conference honors under the tutelage of Eagle head coach Kyle Heath. Moore converted on 55-percent of his field goal tries, including 46.0% from 3-point range and 88% of his free throws this past season at COS.

During his prep career, Moore led Crosby High School to a 26-1 record, including the Connecticut State Championship.

“Lavar is a terrific basketball player and person,” mentioned Miles. “He is a tremendous shooter and scorer and is definitely one of our top recruits ever to compete here at Oregon Tech.”

Lavar is the son of Brian and Carylon Moore of Waterbury, Conn. and plans to major in business at Oregon Tech beginning this fall.
