LA GRANDE, Ore. – With both the top seed and the final spot both decided on Saturday,  the field for the 2014 Cascade Conference Softball Championship presented by U.S. Bank is now set. The tournament will be played at the OIT Softball Complex in Klamath Falls, Ore.

The top seed and regular season title goes to Oregon Tech.  The Hustlin' Owls, who will host the tournament beginning on Thursday, finished the regular season with a record of 32-10 overall and 23-5 in CCC play.  The 2011 NAIA National Champions are looking for their third trip the national tournament in the last four years.

Concordia earns the second seed with a record of 30-16 overall and 22-6 in CCC play.  The No. 25 Cavs earned a sweep over Southern Oregon on Saturday to conclude the regular season as they head to their fifth straight conference tournament this week.

College of Idaho will be the third seed in the championship and will open the tournament at 9 a.m. on Thursday against Concordia.  The Yotes posted a 27-13 record in 2014, including 19-9 in CCC play, after winning the conference tournament last season as the four seed.  Nickayla Skinner looks to lead C of I from the circle, holding a CCC-best 1.44 ERA with 192 strikeouts in 145.2 innings pitched.

The final seed goes to Southern Oregon, who took advantage of a Corban win over Northwest Christian earlier in the day to clinch fourth place as they took the field against Concordia.  The Raiders finished the 2014 regular season with a record of 15-21 overall and 14-14 in CCC play and will open up postseason play at 11:30 a.m. against host Oregon Tech.
