Lady Owls Sweep Walla Walla

Walla Walla, Wash. – The 16th ranked Oregon Tech lady Owls kicked off a 6 game road trip Thursday night with a pair of non-conference 1-hit, shutout wins over the Lady Wolves 14-0, and 11-0. Oregon Tech improves to 22-6 on the season and will resume Cascade Conference play on Friday playing at Eastern Oregon University in La Grande, Ore. at 2:00 pm.

Game 1 – Oregon Tech 14 Walla Walla 0
Oregon Tech scored early and often, plating 4-runs in the top of the 1st, added 3 more runs in each the 2nd and 3rd innings then put 4-more runs on the board for good measure in the 4th inning to win 14-0 in 5 innings.
Rylee Carleton picked up her 3rd win of the season going all 5 innings. Carleton struck-out 7 Lady Wolves only giving up 1.
Tori Weatherford led the Tech hitting borage with 7-RBI in the game while going a perfect 3-3 including her 7th homerun of the season. Alyssa Davis and Shawna Collins added 3-hits each in the win with Cassidy Olson (Pictured) adding her 4th long ball of the season.
Game 2 – Oregon Tech 11 Walla Walla 0
Oregon Tech scored 8-runs in the top of the 7th inning to open up what was a close 3-0 game to win the night cap 11-0.
Cassidy Hoglund had the hot bat in game 2, as she had 3-hits and 4-RBI in leading the Owls offense. Danielle Sayers added 3-hits Collins, McKenzie Shrum, Alyssa Davis and LeAnn Valenta all chipping in 2-hits each. Davis hit her 3rd longball of the season with Kayla Prock also blasting her 2nd homerun of the year.
Jessi Duncan pitched the first 4-innings allowing just 1-hit while striking out 4 to improve to 10-2 on the season with Cassidy Olson pitching the final 3 innings without allowing a base runner to pick up her 1st save of the year.
