(LA GRANDE, Ore.) -- Oregon Tech’s Tori Weatherford has been named Cascade Collegiate Conference Softball Player of the Week for the week ending February 16.
Weatherford, a junior from Mt. Shasta, Calif., had a great weekend making her Oregon Tech debut. In 6 games she had 10 hits in 21 at bats, with 13 RBI, scored 5 runs with 2-doubles and a home-run. Weatherford is hitting .476 on the season with a slugging percentage of .714%
Weatherford played a season at College of the Siskiyous and spent one season at Monterey Peninsula Junior College. Weatherford batted .374 at COS where the catcher recorded 43 RBI on 12 doubles, eight home-runs and two triples. Weatherford helped the Eagles to a runner-up finish in the California Junior College Championships earning First-Team All-State honors along the way. At Monterey Peninsula JC Weatherford finished the season with 22 RBI to go with four home-runs.
College of Idaho’s Nickayla Skinner was named Softball Pitcher of the Week.
