Lady Owls Cling to Top 25

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – After a home split last weekend the Oregon Tech women’s Basketball team fell two spots to Number 23 in this week’s NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll the national office announced Tuesday.

Saint Francis (Ind.) holds the No. 1 ranking for the seventh time this season.  The Cougars were the unanimous selection in the eighth regular-season edition, garnering all 13 first-place votes and 343 total points. Saint Francis is the only remaining unbeaten team in NAIA Division II women’s basketball with a 26-0 record. 

No. 2 Davenport (Mich.) holds its position for the third-straight week with 332 points. Northwestern (Iowa) accrued 318 points en route to the No. 3 position.  Rounding out the top five for the second-straight week are No. 4 Jamestown (N.D.) with 313 points and No. 5 Hastings (Neb.) with 297 points.

Eastern Oregon University, who lost at College of Idaho this past weekend, fell 3 spots and now sits at the No. 20 this week.  College of Idaho and Southern Oregon remain in the receive votes category in this week’s poll.
