Oregon Tech Drops a Spot to No. 20

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — After knocking off, then, No. 14, Eastern Oregon University, and dropping a game to College if Idaho at the buzzer, the Oregon Tech women’s basketball team dropped one spot to the No. 20 position in the sixth regular-season edition of the NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, the national office announced Tuesday.

St. Francis was the unanimous selection this week, garnering all 14 first-place votes and 374 total points. Saint Francis (22-0) is the lone remaining unbeaten team in NAIA Division II women’s basketball, following a pair of wins this past week. 

Davenport (Mich.) and Northwestern (Iowa) are tied at No. 2 with 356 points each. Moving up one spot to No. 4 this week is Indiana Wesleyan with 328 points. No. 5 Jamestown (N.D.) rounds out the top five with 326 points.

Eastern Oregon fell two spots to the No. 16 position, while College of Idaho gathered votes in the poll.

Oregon Tech (19-4) will take a 7-4 record in Cascade Conference play to Eugene where the Owls take on Northwest Christian University this Friday.
