Lady Owls Sign California Point Guard
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore.—Oregon Tech Head Women’s Basketball Coach Scott Meredith announced today, the signing of Aubrey Mendonca, a 5-5 point guard from Cottonwood, California. 

Mendonca has been a 4-year varsity player for West Valley High School, averaging 16.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game so far this season. She earned League MVP honors in 2011-12, her sophomore season, leading the Eagles to a D-IV Northern Section Championship. She was also named as the Record-Searchlight Most Valuable Player and was an All-Northern Section selection in 2012-13.

“I am excited to announce the signing of Aubrey Mendonca to our women’s basketball program at Oregon Tech,” said Coach Meredith. “Aubrey is a leader and a fierce competitor. She has tremendous vision, is a great ball-handler and can change directions in an instant. She is an outstanding student and teammate who plays an inspirational style of basketball. Aubrey’s skill set will fit nicely into our up-tempo style of play at Oregon Tech.”

Mendonca is the daughter of Kathy Mendonca and Quinn Mendonca, both of Cottonwood, Calif. She will major in Respiratory Care at Oregon Tech.
