KANSAS CITY, Mo. — After going 1-1 in Cascade Conference play last weekend in Washington, the Oregon Tech women’s basketball team stayed steady at the No. 20 position in the fourth regular-season edition of the NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, the national office announced Tuesday.
For the first time since the 2011-12 season, two teams share the No. 1 ranking as Saint Francis (Ind.) and Northwestern (Iowa) are tied atop the Top 25 Poll. Saint Francis and Northwestern, who are the NAIA’s only remaining unbeaten teams in Division II women’s basketball, both garnered seven first-place votes and 368 points in this week’s edition.
After a 1-0 weekend, which included a win over rival College of Idaho, Eastern Oregon fell one spot from No. 13 to No. 14. The win over College of Idaho extended EOU’s conference winning streak to 27 straight games. The only other Cascade Conference team in this week’s poll is the Corban who replaced College of Idaho in the received votes category.
Oregon Tech will next head to Ashland, Oregon on Saturday, January 18 at 5:30 pm against arch rival Southern Oregon University.
