KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech head softball coach Greg Stewart announced recently the
signing Katie Virtue to a letter-of-intent for the 2015 season.

As a freshman Virtue was an honorable mention selection, while earning Third-Team All-State honors her sophomore season and First-Team accolades as a junior.
As a junior in 2013 Virtue batted .623, including 36 runs, 34 stolen bases and 20 RBI and was voted team MVP for her efforts. The senior to be played two seasons of ASA for the Oregon Fury and is currently competing for the Oregon Thunder.
“I am very pleased that Katie has signed with us for the 2015 team. She is a very fast lefty that is a complete slapper,” said Stewart. “She is capable of getting on base with her short game but can also drive the ball to the fence. Katie will improve our team speed on the bases and as an outfielder with a lot of range.”
Katie is the daughter of Jim Hagle and Abby Virtue-Hagle and will major in medical imaging at Oregon Tech.
