KIRKLAND, Wash. – Kelsey Sampson and Marlee Smith combined for 39 kills and 46 digs as the duo led Oregon Tech to a five-set win 3-2, (23-25, 25-23, 22-25, 25-19, 15-8) over host Northwest University Saturday in Cascade Conference volleyball action.
Oregon Tech improved to 13-15 overall and 6-8 in CCC play. Oregon Tech sits in the sixth and last spot for a postseason berth three games up on Evergreen State with four matches to play in the season.
Sampson finished with a match-high 24 kills while leading in digs as well with 24. Smith followed with 17 kills and 22 digs. Tec setters Kayleigh Whelchel and Tori Porter notched 28 and 27 assists respectively with Marie Baumann coming away with 23 digs in the win.
Oregon Tech will next host College of Idaho and Eastern Oregon University this Friday and Saturday at Danny Miles Court as the Owls close out home volleyball action.
