Why did you choose Oregon Tech?

I chose to attend Oregon Tech because it was one of the only schools in the country that offered my major. The fact that it is only two hours from where I grew up was an added bonus.

What do you like best about your major?

To me, working in vascular ultrasound is like solving a puzzle or brain teaser. You gather all of the information you can and put it together to see the big picture. It makes work interesting and intellectually stimulating.

What would be your dream job in your major?

I would love to work full time in an accredited lab at a university hospital. I did my externship at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, CA, and a job there or at a place similar to it would be ideal.

What’s your favorite thing to do off campus?

When I was living off campus in Klamath Falls I liked to go to the local restaurants with my friends in search of the best burger in the city. If it’s still around, go to Dagwoods.

What’s your most memorable moment on campus?

I enjoyed seeing the poet/comedian Jon Goode perform. It was an event the Diversity Center organized and there was a reception in the Diversity Center after the show where you could talk to Jon. It was a blast.
