Transfer Admission Requirements

The OIT-Boeing Program welcomes applications from transfer students, regardless of the previous program of study.  If you have questions after reading through the transfer information, please do not hesitate to contact the OIT-Boeing Program Office at 425-965-9707, or email diane.tiefel@boeing.com.

 

Transfer students

  • have earned credits at another regionally accredited institution of higher education. A student must have earned at least 36 college-level credit hours (24 semester credits) to be admitted on the basis of his/her college record alone.
  • must have a cumulative 2.25 GPA or better in college-level classes unless they hold an associates or bachelors degree already, in which case, only a cumulative 2.0 GPA is required.
  • must have at least 36 college-level credits, no more than 3 of these credits can be in Physical Education and no more than 10 percent of an applicants total credits may be in Physical Education if they do not have a two or four year degree.

All transfer students must provide an official transcript from all previously attended postsecondary institutions regardless of length of time since attending, or classes taken.  Applicants who graduated from high school after 1996 must also submit official high-school transcripts, unless they have completed two terms of college-level study in a second language.  Official transcripts should be sent to:

Applicants with fewer than 36 quarter credit hours, or who have attended or graduated from an non-accredited postsecondary institution can apply as a non-admitted student until the 36 quarter credit hours requirement is met.  When 36 OIT credits are reached the student may apply for full admission.

Students can submit copies of their student records to the program office for a tentative transcript evaluation; however, the final transcript evaluation is based upon official transcripts submitted and evaluated by the Registrar's Office.

Acceptance of vocational/technical courses may be granted after registration if the students administering department finds that vocational/technical courses have satisfied certain bachelors degree requirements. In all cases, course and/or department prerequisites will be enforced.
